The Honest Ed's Trip

Last Friday, we had a trip to Honest Ed's. It is a big mall. Our teacher took us to visit many buildings around the mall. Though it was raining, we were interested in the history of those old buildings.

After the trip, we went to a Korean restaurant and had a wonderful lunch. My Korean classmate said this Korean restaurant was not very good, but we still thought it was delicious. Maybe we were just hungry.

We had an interesting experience after lunch. When we took the subway to go home, we needed to transfer to another subway. But my classmates and I did not notice the direction of the subway. After 20 minutes, we found out that we were on a wrong subway train. We took out the map to check. Then a lady came and asked us if we needed help. We said no thank you to her, because it was easy to find the right way back. Then we transferred two more times to get home. When we got home, we felt very tired.

Jade's story

Today, my classmate Jade told us a true story. It's a good story.

It happened during War II. A boy named Chi lived in a small village. Some American soldiers lived in the same village because they were preparing to resist the Japanese army. They felt bored, they just walked around the village every day, and they could not find anything interesting. One day, they saw Chi coming to them, and Chi had a basket with some eggs. The boy gave them the eggs, and they found him so cute that they gave him some canned food. The boy was eleven years old. The soldiers felt happy because the boy met them every day. The boy's father asked them to teach his son English, After then the boy lived with them for three years. They got along well.

The soldiers went back to the United States in 1949. Both of them cried at the airport. They wanted to take the boy with them, but they couldn't. After they went back to their country, they ofter got together and talked about Chi, because they missed him. One of them got a letter from Chi in 1980, and Chi told them that he wanted to visit them. The soldiers bought tickets for their friend to go to USA. They lived together for one year. Chi said that he missed his family, so the soldiers gave him money to help them come to the USA. They also gave Chi $5,000 to open a restaurant. Other people wondered why they gave so much to Chi. They said that Chi gave them a lot of happiness when they lived in the small village, so they just wanted to reward Chi, and it was worth it.

After Jade told the story, we were touched. I think if we want other people treat us very good, we need to treat them very good firstly.

Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery is very popular today. It can make people look younger and more beautiful. When a person becomes younger, she/he will have more confidence to do things better than before. Many movie stars ask their doctors to give them plastic surgery. After that, they become beautiful. But when they have more plastic surgery, it is harmful to their health. the plastic surgery make them look weird and they can't smile normally. Plastic become poisonous after it is left in the body for many years, and it is difficult to remove from the body. If it's not necessary, don't have plastic surgery.
